Enrolments

Starting school is a major milestone in a child’s life. It is an exciting and emotional time for both you, as parent, and your child. The transition can be made smoother through your positive encouragement and partnership with your child’s school. Together, we can support your child on their learning journey to achieve their potential.

Completing the Enrolment - All Students

A parent or guardian enrolling a child in a Victorian state school will be required to complete an enrolment form (click here), provide evidence of the date of birth of the child and evidence of the child's immunisation.  Children immunised within Australia must obtain a copy of their immuisation history from the Department of Human Services.

For children living with more than one family, please complete an additional information form (click here).

  • The enrolment form must be completed and signed
  • Children who are not Australian citizens are required to provide a copy of their current visa
  • Children enrolling in the Foundation year (first year of school) must be at least 5 years of age by the 30th of April in the year in which they enrol
  • Enrolments for Foundation 2020 are requested to be submitted by the end of Term 2, Friday June 28th but can be accepted later in the year.

International Students are Welcome

Our school is able to receive international fee paying students. More information is available on the Department of Education's website.

If your child is an Australian citizen enrolment may commence immediately once you arrive. For certain categories of permanent and long term residency, the same applies.

However, if your child is travelling on a visitor visa, a student visa or short term residency visa, you may need to pay fees to the Victorian Government prior to starting school. In this case, please contact the Principal at walton.laureen.e@edumail.vic.gov.au and we will reserve a place for your child and organise forms and information to be sent to you. The process then is that you will make arrangements with the Department of Education and Training to pay fees. Your child may then commence at Sandringham East as soon as they arrive.
